Orchid Fever

I love orchids. I have nothing more to say. They are just beautiful! Sometimes I think roses are over rated because there are so many beautiful flowers in this world but then again you just can go wrong with the classic symbol of love. And what is life without love. Empty. Lonely. Miserable. I have yet to find love but I also haven't lost hope. I keep looking. Perhaps in all the wrong places. But it's just the beginning, it's not the end. It's spring after all and it's time for new journeys. Happy Spring!

Egg Salad + Baguette

I'm contemplating the purchase of a new camera so I borrowed my friends new Nikon D3100 to take it for a spin. I'll post more pics from my day of exploring this cool camera. Another friend was making an egg salad sandwich and I have to saw it was delish. So easy to do yet I never bother to make it. There's no secret to this recipe...just everything you see in the pic. 

(not) another protest

I feel like there's a protest almost every day here and I'm not even exaggerating. Ok perhaps every other day. I'm all for people exercising their civic responsibility but sometimes I feel like saying 'get a real job'. Side note: this cop on the right looked like he was going to kill me. Lighten up officer.

Airplanes and shooting stars...

I hate flying in the winter. There is always some sort of delay. Have you ever seen a plane de-ice? It's pretty cool and sometimes I get jealous that the plane gets more attention than me. Sometimes I wish I could stand on the runway while a machine splashes lime green fluid on me while I twist and turn and whip my hair. Sorry I got carried away. I think this pic was in Munich.

Sunday Swiss Market

Sunday in Geneva means open market. The chance for people to sell their outdated useless stuff. It's also a great opportunity to find some rare finds. Of course the name of the game is BARGAIN!
On another note...finally yesterday I took the plunge and registered to do a run in early Aril of about 12km. So today I was up early and training. Good motivation!

Vintage Closing

The vintage store near my store had a closing sale and my friend decided to drag me there because really it's not about what you need, it's about how much you can bargain. I didn't find much of interest except this stack of magazines. It's always interesting to go through fashion trends through the times.
