Have you seen this girl?

If you haven't notice already, I love taking photographs of street graffiti. This was spotted in El Gotico close to where my friend works.

Mobile Office

When I need inspiration and motivation I make sure I get out of the house and head to a cafe. This is where I get all my good ideas. But I'm still waiting for that billion dollar idea. One of these days. But until that happens this is where I got to write, read and let my thoughts wander.

PLAZA SANT FELIP NERI

This is by far one of my favourite places to hang out in Barcelona. So peaceful and beautiful yet so full of history. Not many people know of it and those looking for it may get lost in the process. But once you find it you'll know why it's my favourite place. Here's some history I found about the plaza: The common tale goes like this: the holes all over the facade of the church were from the bullets of Anarchist execution squads who were lining up and shooting down priests against the church.  However, this is not true.  The famous story was a cover up by the Franco government (surprise surprise).  In fact, on January 30th, 1938 a bomb fell on the plaza killing 153 people, most of whom were displaced orphaned children from Madrid.  Here is a video of a man who remembers well exactly what happened and sets the record straight.  Plaza Sant Felip Neri is one of the Barcelona plazas with the most controversial and mystical history.

Birthday Brownie

Birthday brownie for my friend who turned 27. I didn't make the brownie-I take no credit. But it was delicious!

Rainy Kisses

It was one of those calm rainy days today. Just a slight drizzle. You could go for a walk and enjoy the calmness of the city and let your mind wander. I came across this photo and thought 'how appropriate'.

Zucchini Fritters

Most of the time when I cook something new it's because I'm craving something in particular. This time it was because my friend and I had a talk about how easy it is to make fritters yet we never make them. The only time consuming thing is chopping 3 zucchini's into tiny match stick like bits. The rest is easy. I suggest getting a grater. I followed the Jamie Oliver recipe which you can find on his website. Bon appetit!

Brisk Saturday Morning

It's not usual that I'm up bright and early on a Saturday morning but I offered to go to Ikea with my friend. It takes two to tang, it also takes two to go to Ikea. What I absolutely love about Ikea is the food...oh and the tea light candles. This picture was taken at Pl. Espanya, waiting for the bus. It was a cold cold day but the intense warmth of the sun balanced the temperature nicely.

Dreaming of Summer

When it's a grey winter's day you can't help but think of summers past and of the summer to come. This was taken in Porto, Portugal.

No Foot Washing

I found this photo from my university days. Thought it was a bit funny at the time...in fact I still find it a bit funny. Don't hate me.

Downtown Innsbruck

Downtown Innsbruck is so small yet so beautiful, especially when it's decked out for the holidays! I love this strip of shops; great to walk around at night and enjoy the ambiance.

Cloudy BCN

We've had some strange weather lately. It's been unusually warm. Clouds keep rolling in. Almost looks like a storm brewing here.

Carmel Street

I took this picture with my friend Carmel in mind. It's not so often that you see pay phones anymore (at least where I live) and now they do all sorts of things like text and email. Location: Belfast City

Love is the new religion...

I found this in a story in downtown Innsbruck and thought it was very cute and colourful. I guess the key word here is 'hope'!

A Day in Innsbruck

It's a new year, a new day and time to fulfill new dreams! I hope all of you dream big and may all your dreams come true! These pictures were taken in Innsbruck. It was crisp cold day but no matter the temperature, the view is just breath taking.
