Porto, Portugal

One of the most richest regions in Portugal. Why? The port of course! ...and the wine. There is not a whole lot to do here but definitely worth partaking in one of the many wine tours and stocking up on some port wine. Go early! Unfortunately we ended up in the last tour group of the day, conducted in German. Wine is wine. We took the train here from Lisbon which took a few hours and then headed back down south the following day on a bus. May I tell you how sketchy (and maybe that's because I'm used to a western bus terminal) the whole experience was? We were guided to an underground garage where I thought I would never see the light again.

Irish Construction

This is the site of the multi million dollar Titanic Museum they are building in Belfast City to celebrate the 100th anniversary of that hellish night that was April 14th 1912. But the town sure has a lot to be proud of! For some reason this picture reminds me of Edward Scissorhands. Or maybe it's because it's Halloween this weekend. Have a good one!

Irish Sunsets

Belfast City is continues to grow with a series of high rises being added to the almost non-existant skyline. This is taken near the Titanic quarter.

Always look on the bright side of life!

A great thought to start your week! Some might argue that the grass is always greener on the other side but we should just be happy that we have any grass at all.

Toronto Life

Union Station: the main train station which is going through a series of renovations.
When life gives you lemonade? Some would say 'make lemonade'. There seems to be a series of American Express ads using this quote. I wonder how they got their inspiration. As you would have guessed this is a lemonade stand.

Toronto from the top...

I'm in Toronto for the week. This is where I grew up so it's always nice to be home and catch up with my dear friends. Last time I was there my friend and I decided to go up theCN Tower, which used to be the tallest free standing tower at 553.33m tall. I haven't been up since I was a kid so it was definitely a nostalgic moment. It's a bit pricy to get up but the view is totally worth it!

Looking west.

Looking north east.

Looking south west at the Toronto Island Airport runway. Right now there is only one airline flying and soon Air Canada will start flying through there.

The banks!

A Parisian weekend.

So in love that they had to carve it

What better way to spend an evening than sitting along the Seine river with a bottle of wine in one hand, baguette in the other with your dearest friends.

What a gorgeous sunset!

Bergueda

Last year we had a work team-building session in this isolated house in the town of Bergueda. It was absolutely sensational. This picture was taken from the second floor balcony of the house looking at a monastery that was built in the 1700's.

The last of Aix...

When in the south of France once should indulge in those simple moments that make life so special: food, wine and good conversation. What more do you need?
