| One of the most richest regions in Portugal. Why? The port of course! ...and the wine. There is not a whole lot to do here but definitely worth partaking in one of the many wine tours and stocking up on some port wine. Go early! Unfortunately we ended up in the last tour group of the day, conducted in German. Wine is wine. We took the train here from Lisbon which took a few hours and then headed back down south the following day on a bus. May I tell you how sketchy (and maybe that's because I'm used to a western bus terminal) the whole experience was? We were guided to an underground garage where I thought I would never see the light again. |
