One of the less busier spots to see the penguins. Not one of the best days weatherwise but the experience was still worth the stop.

The sunsets were incredible. I could have taken photos every night. In fact I did. It was just too beautiful that only the eye could capture all the beautiful tones and colours in the sky.

Hoodia Lodge is where we spent 3 amazing days of relaxation and exploring nature. One of the best things about Hoodia Lodge was the pool...except when we arrived the pump was unfortunately broken and took 2 days to be fixed. But that didn't stop us from taking a dip to cool off from the desrt heat.

Passing Through Solitaire...

Sorry for being gone for sooo long. I've been traveling for three weeks and slowly getting back into the swing of things. I was in Cape Town and then roadtripping around Nambia and the Western Cape. So keep an eye out for more pics from my trip. This series of pics is from our stop over in Solitaire.  I'm told that this is the famous bakery in Solitaire...famous probably because there is nothing else around but a gas station and a convenience store. Although my firend did continue to comment how amazing the Apple Strudel was. I'd like to think mine is better ;). Having said that...the place certainly has its charm. This is where we met two Americans from Seattle who were trying to hitch hike their way to Windhoek (the capital city). They have been living in Namibia for some months and were doing some traveling on their time off. God bless them. They had been waiting for 4 hours in the summer heat with no luck. 

Paris, je t'aime!

My opinion of Paris and Parisiens have changed over the years and continue to do so. They can be seen as being arrogant, snobbish, rude and that exists to an extent but I've also come across some really nice, friendly and helpful people who share the beauty of the city. Especially my trip last week made me appreciate Paris a bit more than usual. I was alone and so I let myself go for a stroll and people watch. It was one of the best experiences. No pressure. No stress. Just slow and go whichever the wind blows.
