Mothers Day is coming up. Have you thought about what you're getting her? Flowers are always a nice last minute gift idea. And if you forget then you can always use the old excuse 'I prefer to honour my mother everyday not just on Mothers Day'. My personal favourite are tulips. In fact I think I would go as far as saying I prefer tulips over roses. Maybe it's because it's rare to find them throughout the year. These were photographed in Keukenhof, the best place to be in May when all the flowers are in bloom.

Happy Tuesday. I was lucky to have yesterday off so today brushing off the laziness and made it to work on time. It was no special weekend but nonetheless it was nice to have some time off and let my brain just take a back seat for a while. Here's to a short week (at least for me!).

Orchid Fever

I love orchids. I have nothing more to say. They are just beautiful! Sometimes I think roses are over rated because there are so many beautiful flowers in this world but then again you just can go wrong with the classic symbol of love. And what is life without love. Empty. Lonely. Miserable. I have yet to find love but I also haven't lost hope. I keep looking. Perhaps in all the wrong places. But it's just the beginning, it's not the end. It's spring after all and it's time for new journeys. Happy Spring!

Weekend in Altea, Spain

The town of Altea is in the south of Spain close to Valencia, approximately 5 hours on the train from Barcelona. It's a very beautiful town made for exploring on foot.  

You can always spot a Dutch family from afar; always dressed stylishly. I love their Converse.
